what is that?
Working Women's Wednesday started with a simple idea: use my camera to shine a light on the women who make our community what it is.
What began as photographing local women at work quickly became something much bigger. Each Wednesday feature gives me the opportunity to step into a woman's world, photograph her doing what she does best, and share the story behind the business, career, passion or the dream she has built.
But Working Women's Wednesday isn't really about businesses...
More than a feature...
Working Women's Wednesday has grown into more than a weekly photography feature. It's become a way to introduce our community to the women behind the businesses, careers, and creative work happening right here in the Shoals. Every story is different, but the goal is always the same: make women feel seen and give our community another reason to support them.
Where I hope it goes...
My hope is for Working Women's Wednesday to grow into a true community of women supporting women -- creating, connections, collaborations, friendships, and opportunities that continue long after Wednesday. I want to tell more stories, reach more women, and eventually create events and opportunities that bring these women together in real life.
